Building Instruments
The following pictures show how I get my materials for the Flutes and Panpipes I build in your schools and events everywhere else...oh yeah even my personal instruments...it is very hard work.
Walking down the trail to the Bamboo Groves

Bamboo Groves

Martin inside the groves cutting bamboo poles

Uncut Bamboo Poles, some were 25 feet long

Here are the same poles, only now they are cut to fit into my truck and are shown here laying on my work table...ready for fun!

Since I work with lots of bamboo for a really long time, I have to wear a professional dust mask...you can't even smell a dog poo with this mask on!

After the poles were trimmed and cleaned and cut, they are made into "kits". So, here are the kits after I have tuned them; put the fingers holes on them and built the mouthpieces. This is where you come in because these flutes are ready for you to build and do artwork on...

Here are finished flutes completed by Mrs. Z's class of 3rd graders
